My friend and I were obsessed with Dr. Pepper as teens. It had that unique flavor that we could never quite identify. Recently, I discovered why it is so unique. Did you know that Dr. Pepper contains not one or two flavors, but is made up of a combination of 23 flavors? No wonder why we could never figure it out. I knew that Dr. Pepper has been around for a long time, but I didn’t know that it was created at a soda fountain in Texas back in 1885. Did you also know that Dr. Pepper was officially introduced to the world at the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904?
Dr. Pepper fans are as unusual and fascinating as the soda itself. So if you know someone who loves Dr. Pepper, these unique Dr. Pepper gifts will be right up their alley.
1. Stubb’s Dr. Pepper Bar-b-que Sauce
Unusual Dr.Pepper gifts
You knew Dr. Pepper was a drink, but did you know you could slather it on ribs and chicken?
What can you get as a side to go with those ribs? Some cans of Dr. Pepper baked beans.
Don’t forget to add some grilling accessories to the gift. Then if you are lucky, you will be invited over for the meal of the century. This BBQ will be talked about for decades.
2. Airpod Case
Dr. Pepper novelty gifts
Who knew there were so many unique Dr. Pepper gifts? These cool air pods cases have a clip so they can attach it to a backpack, purse, or keyring. You can get one that looks like a bottle or one that looks like a can.
Are they worried about those shady friends of their roommate finding their stuff? A diversion safe looks like a can of Dr. Pepper, but really it is a place to stash money or jewelry. These are available in diet Dr. Pepper gifts as well.
Do they like to tailgate, but in a place where they can’t drink alcohol in public? Then they need a soda sleeve for covering beer, to solve their problems. These koozies cover the beer can to make it look like they are drinking a can of their favorite soda.
3. Dr. Pepper Candle
Dr. Pepper themed gifts
Maybe they even enjoy the scent of Dr. Pepper. With a Dr. Pepper candle, they can enjoy the fragrance anytime they want in their home.
Or they can carry the scent with them by dabbing on a bit of Dr. Pepper perfume oil.
I tried to find Dr. Pepper scented soaps, but had a hard time. However, if the person you are buying for is crafty, get them a soap making kit. Add in the Dr. Pepper perfume oil to scent the soap. Then you are giving two gifts in one.
4. Mini Fridge

This unusual fridge is perfect for keeping beverages cold in a dorm room or handy on the desk at work.

Or give them a vintage clock. Then they always know when it’s time for a Dr. Pepper.
For a man cave or patio, a neon pub sign will be a hit. It will brighten the room just enough for mood lighting without blinding everyone.
6. Dr. Pepper Jelly Beans

7. Dessert Topper
Items for a Dr. Pepper gift basket
I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream. This was a summer mantra in my home growing up. I’m not sure where the chant originates. My kids always just said they were feeling hot and needed to cool off, as the signal that they wanted some frozen treats. For a Dr. Pepper fan you can create a gift basket for making delicious ice cream sundaes. The sundaes can be topped with tasty Dr. Pepper dessert topping.
Give them some ice cream bowls to build their sundaes. They will need an ice cream scooper. And don’t forget the sprinkles!
If you want to go all out, you can even get them an electric ice cream maker so they can experiment and make their own. Who knows? Maybe they will create a Dr. Pepper ice cream flavor!
8. Soda Can Earrings

9. Dr. Pepper Hawaiian Shirt
Gifts for Dr. Pepper lovers
I didn’t realize Hawaii and Dr. Pepper pair up so well. There is quite the collection of colorful Hawaiian shirts for Dr. Pepper fans to dress like a pepper.
You can also get a retro baseball cap or a t-shirt if Hawaiian garb isn’t their thing.
10. Soda Can Hat
Funny gifts for Dr. Pepper lovers
While these are normally used for beer drinkers, there is no reason why Dr. Pepper fans can’t keep their hands free while enjoying their favorite beverage. The hat holds two cans so they will have a steady supply of Dr. Pepper just like Forrest Gump.
Who can forget the famous line, “I have to pee,” Tom Hanks says when meeting the President in Forrest Gump, after drinking a lot of Dr. Peppers. If they are fans of Forrest Gump, you can get “I must have drank me about 15 Dr. Peppers” merchandise.
However, if they prefer drinking from a bottle instead of a can, you can choose from a selection of novelty bottle openers to give them along with a six pack.
11. Restaurant Glasses
Dr. Pepper gifts for ice cream sodas
Give them a bit of nostalgia with these retro restaurant glasses with the Dr. Pepper logo.
For old fashioned ice cream sodas make a Dr. Pepper gift set by adding some long spoons and some environmentally friendly reusable straws. These glasses are nice and tall so they will accommodate the soda and ice cream well.
12. Shot Glass with Measurements
Dr. Pepper gifts for adults
Ever heard of a Flaming Dr. Pepper? While I don’t recommend trying the flaming version of this drink, unless you are an experienced bartender, the non-flaming version can be fun as well. Start with a shot glass with 1 ½ oz of Amaretto and ½ ounce of another liquor such as bourbon.
Then you take the shot, glass and all, and drop it into a glass of beer. The non-flaming version is similar to a boiler maker in that you drop the shot glass with the liquor into a beer and it bubbles up.
Make a gift basket with the liquor and beer they need, along with a measuring shot glass and a ”This guy is awesome” pint glass. The idea is to drink it down before it bubbles over and makes a mess. The drink tastes like Dr. Pepper, although there is no actual Dr. Pepper in it.
If this seems too complicated, you can give them the shot glass, pint glass, and some original Dr. Pepper. Then they can add their favorite liquor for an adult beverage. My favorite is adding bourbon or rum.
13. Dr. Pepper Tumbler
More Dr. Pepper gift ideas
For beverages on the go, give them a Dr. Pepper tumbler. These can be used for morning coffee or Dr. Pepper, of course. Or they may want to mix the two. No, that might be too weird!
So their Dr. Pepper doesn’t ruin their furniture with rings of condensation, give them some themed coasters. You can even get coasters to fit in the cup holders of the car!
They can’t always be drinking Dr. Pepper. For lazy mornings at home give them a Dr. Pepper coffee mug.
